#3 DANG THI MINH HUONG-san
Why do you like this place?:
As is customary in Vietnam, everyone – of course including me - often goes to the temple on the full moon day and on New Year's Day. We pray that our families will be healthy and that we will pass the exams.
Since I came to Japan, I often go to the temple “Nanzouin.” There are a lot of trees around Nanzouin. The air is clean and the scenery is beautiful. When I go to the temple, I feel calm and stress-free.
A special feature of this temple is the Reclining Buddha statue, which was built in 1995. It is very large and beautiful.
There is an ice cream store near the Buddha statue. It is inexpensive (about 300 yen) and delicious. If you want to buy something commemorative, there are also souvenir shops that sell all kinds of things; Sweets, T-shirts, bracelets, and so on.
If you have time, try to visit the temple and eat some ice cream.
Where do you go most often?
Get the train on platform 8, the Fukuhoku Yutaka Line, at Hakata Station.
Get off at Kido-Nanzouin-mae Station 🚉 (The fare 🎫 is 380 yen only)
Speaking of Fong-san, “Kaonashi (No-Face),” a character of 千と千尋の神隠し (Spirited Away), pops in our head. She is a big fan of Kaonashi and has a lot of Kaonashi goods 😆 Fong-san herself is going to be a main character in Ghibli movies⁉️😆
At first glance, Fong-san may seem reserved, but she is a dynamic and curious student who is enjoying her life as an international student to the fullest 😉
